Founders Letter
Welcome to Edition 01 of The Capital Ledger.
The Capital Alliance Network was built from a simple recognition: the professionals who belong here; GPs, allocators, operators, and asset managers.. have always had the capability. What the market lacked was the infrastructure to connect that capability to institutional-grade capital, relationships, and deal flow at scale.
I built CAN because I lived that gap firsthand. Early in my career, I understood the mechanics of private equity and how wealth-generating transactions were structured. The skill was there. The access wasn't. The institutional LPs, family offices, and capital relationships that determine who competes at scale.. those networks weren't built for us, and frankly, they weren't built with us in mind. So we built our own.
The Capital Ledger is the editorial layer of that infrastructure. Every edition delivers market intelligence, capital trends, member activity, and deal-relevant insight for practitioners who are already in the field and need to stay ahead of it.
This publication is for you because you already know the work. We're just building the system around it.

Inside The Network
Every component of the CAN ecosystem has a specific role. Together, they are the operational architecture moving us toward $1 trillion in combined AUM and enterprise value across our membership by 2055.
Here's where we are right now.
ATLAS (The Intelligence Layer). Our operating system, connecting members, capital, and deal flow. Piloting with our first 25 members this quarter; staged rollout through 2026. CapitalConnectโข is the matching layer on top, ensuring the right capital finds the right operators at scale.
CAN Knowledge Vault. Live this week ยป A growing library of GP playbooks, market maps, deal frameworks, and institutional intelligence. Members have full access from day one.
Alliance Marketplace (The Execution Layer). A curated directory of vetted service providers across fund administration, insurance, compliance, banking, HR, transaction diligence, and real estate operations. Partners earn placement on member fit and service quality. CAN does not sell listings, and the Marketplace is not a capital-introduction channel.
Advisory Services (The Acceleration Layer). Non-transactional, fixed-scope advisory built for members who need institutional-grade financial work done right, before they engage capital partners. Two tracks live today: FP&A Advisory (independent assessment of financial position and institutional readiness) and Financial Architecture, Modeling & Automation (stage-matched financial infrastructure for operating entities and investment vehicles). Not fundraising, not capital placement, not investment advice. Accessed through ATLAS.
Events (The Convening Layer). How the network grows in person.
Open Capital Socials: Regional convenings for asset managers, operators, allocators, and Alliance partners. New York and Atlanta opened the series; Dallas was the most recent. New York returns June 24.
Capital Tables: Allocator-anchored conversations between LPs and a small group of GPs, structured around a single thesis.
Allocator Dinners: Closed-door dinners pairing institutional LPs with vetted CAN GPs. Relationship depth, not deck pitches.
Continuity ETA Programming: Our convening track around ownership transition and the entrepreneur-through-acquisition ecosystem. Launching in New York this spring.
Events are member-anchored and invitation-driven. Sponsorship inquiries: [email protected].

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Kamar Jones, PPI Capital
The former Merrill Lynch capital markets veteran and Army officer on why junior mining is the most undervalued sector in global markets, what "alligator traps" teach you about due diligence, and why a $4 trillion tech company proves the entire mining industry is mispriced.
By Leroy Adams, Editorial & Media Director
Kamar Jones doesn't chase trends. After 30 years in capital marketsโeight at firms like Merrill Lynch, First Union Securities, and Wachovia and 20 years as a management consultant, he's learned that the best opportunities hide in plain sight. Now, as founder of PPI Capital, he's betting on what might be the least sexy, most undervalued sector in modern finance: junior mining companies.

A Final Note
โ..Play the long game, not the wrong game.
Capital compounds. Relationships compound. Reputation compounds. Everything that lasts in this business is built slowly, on purpose, with people who show up the same way every time.
That's what CAN is. That's what we're building..โ
